I only use my iPod for cardio, I don’t lift or strength train to it. So, I prefer music that will draw my attention and make the time pass as opposed to mindless pop (not that I don’t love Kesha, Katy Perry, and Gaga) but that king of stuff just runs as annoying background noise when I’m trying to focus. Rap music (the kind that is mostly lyrical rap, not just pitbull being loud, techo bridges, a ton of hook, and a couple verses). I also like any kind of hip-hop or dubstep (I don’t have much of a collection of dubstep yet, but I am always looking to take suggestions!) with a good beat to help me stay distracted from watching the clock too heavily. I also have some A Day to Remember in the mix because they’re my favorite band and I like to rock out to some breakdowns on the treadmill (:
